In a written statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the attack on the Saudi Hospital in El Fasher, Sudan, it was stated, "We strongly condemn the attack on the Saudi Hospital in El Fasher, Sudan, which has caused numerous casualties. We extend our condolences to the families of the deceased and the people of Sudan, and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. We remind that international law must be respected and that civilian infrastructure should not be targeted. We will continue to support steps that will enable the establishment of peace and stability in Sudan."
LATEST SITUATION IN SUDAN
Since April 15, 2023, conflicts have erupted in Sudan due to disagreements over military reform and integration between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), which was once affiliated with it. While all attempts to initiate a resolution to end the war have been unsuccessful, according to the United Nations, more than 20,000 people have lost their lives as a result of the conflicts in Sudan, which is experiencing the world's largest displacement and hunger crisis.
