A critical step has been taken in the investigation launched against former Norwegian Prime Minister Thorbjørn Jagland following the release of new documents related to American billionaire Jeffrey Epstein. Okokrim teams conducted searches at Jagland's residence and vacation properties. His lawyer stated that Jagland has officially been designated as a suspect following the search warrant.

It was reported that searches were conducted at the home and vacation properties of former Norwegian Prime Minister Thorbjørn Jagland, who is under investigation following the release of new documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.

After new documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, who was found dead in prison while being tried for allegedly running a prostitution ring involving underage girls in the U.S., came to light, a significant development occurred in Norway. Searches were conducted at multiple residences as part of the investigation launched against former Prime Minister Thorbjørn Jagland.

MULTIPLE SEARCHES AT OKOKRIM

According to a report by VG, a newspaper published in Norway, the economic crime agency Okokrim conducted searches at addresses linked to Jagland. It was stated that the operation included Jagland's home as well as his vacation properties.

STATEMENT FROM HIS LAWYER: A NORMAL PROCESS

Jagland's lawyer, Anders Brosveet, expressed that the actions taken are a natural part of the investigation and said, "Okokrim is currently searching Thorbjørn Jagland's home and vacation properties. This is an expected situation and a normal process in such investigations."

NOW IN SUSPECT STATUS

Brosveet noted that following the search warrant, Jagland has officially entered suspect status. The statement mentioned that Jagland would go to Okokrim to give a statement and that he wanted to contribute to clarifying the process.

SEIZED ITEMS CAUGHT ATTENTION

Officials leaving Jagland's residence were seen carrying boxes for the seized items. No detailed explanation regarding the scope and content of the search has been provided by official authorities.

HIS IMMUNITY HAD BEEN LIFTED

Okokrim had previously announced that an investigation was launched against diplomats mentioned in the Epstein documents. Following this development, the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe announced that Jagland's immunity, mentioned in the new documents, had been lifted.
