Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, who went to Yozgat to attend a series of programs, made statements about the LGS, which will be held on Saturday, June 14, following his visit to the Yozgat Governor's Office. Tekin stated that more than 1 million students will take the exam and announced that the results will be announced on July 10.
"1 MILLION 22 THOUSAND 658 STUDENTS WILL TAKE THE EXAM" Speaking to the press before the LGS, Minister Tekin said, "As you know, the exam will start tomorrow morning. As of 09:00 in the morning, our children will be at their schools. This year, out of a total of 1 million 274 thousand 629 students, 1 million 22 thousand 658 students have applied to take tomorrow's exam. That is, approximately 80% of our students will take the exam tomorrow. The exam will be held in 81 provinces and 920 districts in Turkey, and in 11 exam centers in 8 countries abroad. In total, the exam will be conducted in 4,255 schools and 64,737 exam halls. This is truly a huge organization. I wish success to our colleagues who are on duty. The centralized exam within the scope of LGS is an important process where our students demonstrate their academic knowledge."
"924 THOUSAND 191 STUDENTS WILL BENEFIT FROM THE NUTRITION PACKAGE" Tekin, stating that they have implemented a new practice this year, said, "This year, for the first time, we are launching a new practice to reduce students' exam anxiety, support their motivation, and eliminate the anxiety experienced last year during the break between the two sessions. We will distribute nutrition packages to our students. We informed our parents and students about the package content during exam applications. We offered the right to choose to students who do not want to benefit from this package due to health issues or other reasons. Within this scope, 924 thousand 191 out of our 1 million 22 thousand students reported that they wanted to benefit from this service. The package will include dried fruit oatmeal, walnuts, raisins, and water. Drinking water will also be provided to students who do not request a nutrition package. A comprehensive planning has been made considering our students' health conditions and allergy risks. Thus, it is aimed to meet nutritional needs and take necessary health and safety precautions."

"EXAM DOCUMENTS WILL BE MONITORED LIVE" Providing information about exam security, Minister Tekin said, "For the healthy and safe conduct of such a large organization, we have made comprehensive preparations this year as every year. Within the scope of the 2026 Centralized Exam, a total of 400 thousand personnel will be on duty in different job titles. This includes 20 thousand regional executive members at the provincial and district level, 48 thousand law enforcement personnel, 30 thousand building managers and assistants, 260 thousand hall personnel, and 42 thousand other personnel who will work in the exam. Among the hall personnel, there will be hall presidents, invigilators, assistant invigilators for disabled students, and reserve invigilators. To ensure exam security at the highest level, we are implementing another new practice this year. Our General Directorate of Innovation and Educational Technologies will record all processes from upper searches to the distribution of exam documents in the buildings where the exam will be held, via a live camera system, and these images will be monitored instantly by our ministry."
LGS RESULTS TO BE ANNOUNCED ON JULY 10 Wishing success to the students who will take the exam, Minister Tekin said, "On this occasion, I wish success to our students who will participate in the exam. May Allah help them. I thank our teachers, school administrators, and our education community who have contributed to the upbringing of our children. I also wish convenience to our teachers, education administrators, and security forces who will be on duty during the exam process. As you know, the results will be announced on July 10 after the exam. This year, we are putting another new practice into effect after the results. After our students learn their results, they will be able to examine schools anywhere in Turkey, along with their physical facilities, thanks to the artificial intelligence-supported preference system, and conduct the preference process more consciously."
