Annual capacity of 9 million passengers! Çukurova International Airport has been opened for service.

The Çukurova Airport, Turkey's 58th airport, was opened to the service of our citizens with a ceremony attended by President Erdogan. In his speech at the ceremony, Erdogan stated that the annual capacity of the airport is 9 million people.

"Dear nation, dear people of Adana, dear people of Mersin, I greet you with my heartfelt feelings. I wish our airport to be beneficial to every one of the 85 million people in Adana and Mersin. Today, we are not only opening an airport, but also a new modern and aesthetic gateway. We see that our airport is a work of world standards.

"ANNUAL CAPACITY IS 9 MILLION"

The annual capacity of Çukurova Airport is 9 million. The closed area of our superstructure facilities reaches 214,180 square meters. Our airport was built with an approach that all our brothers and sisters living in the Mediterranean will embrace. In recent years, we have realized many works that we have gained for our country through public-private partnerships. The investment amount of the airport is 608.5 million euros.

"WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE EMPLOYMENT OF 3,000 PEOPLE"

It is located right in the middle of both of our cities. We have also started the works of connection roads. We are not satisfied with only road connections. It will contribute to the trade, tourism, and agricultural production of Çukurova and will provide employment for approximately 3,000 people.

"WILL HELP STRENGTHEN ECONOMIC LIFE"

I especially want to say this here, our fellow citizens from Adana and Mersin will see how accurate an investment it is in a short time. It will help strengthen the economic life. It will have a multiplier effect on the regional economy. It will transport the products of industrial zones to the world. Agricultural products will be able to reach their customers without delay.
