Customs officials conducted an inspection off the coast of St. Barts on New Year's Eve aboard Amazon founder Jeff Bezos' luxury yacht, Koru, valued at $500 million. In exclusive footage from DailyMail, it was seen that officials carried out an inspection lasting more than three hours on the 127-meter vessel, known as the world's largest sailing yacht. The team, consisting of two men and two women, walked around the deck and spoke with those on board, including Bezos' fiancée, Lauren Sanchez. The former news anchor, who was sunbathing, was interrupted by a visit from a female officer who had a radio in her pocket. Sources indicated that the inspection was "routine." The purpose of the inspection and what the officials were looking for is still unknown. Before the officials arrived, 55-year-old Sanchez was sunbathing on the deck with friends and former NFL star Tony Gonzalez. Sanchez, who drew attention with her wide-brimmed hat and gold-patterned bikini, relaxed on a sunbed and chatted with her friends. The 48-year-old former football player Gonzalez jumped into the sea from the lower deck with his friends. WEDDING PLANS Bezos and Sanchez got engaged on the same mega yacht in May 2023. Although there were reports that the couple would marry in Aspen the weekend after Christmas, Bezos denied these claims. Sanchez revealed last month on the Today Show that she had picked out her wedding dress. In an interview with Vogue in November, she stated that she had not yet started planning the wedding, saying, "Will it be big? Will it be abroad? We don't know yet." When asked if Bezos would be involved in the wedding preparations, she replied, "Oh my God, no. Do I look that stupid?"
