Danish Midfielder Hojbjerg Moves To Tottenham Hotspur

Pierre Emile Hojbjerg seals contract with British club till 2025.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, a midfielder from Denmark, joined the English club Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.

"We are delighted to announce the signing of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton. The midfielder has signed a contract with the Club until 2025 and will wear the number five shirt," the Spurs said in a statement.

The 25-year-old is a four-time German champion with Bayern Munich (2013-2016).

Hojbjerg also won the 2014 FIFA Club World Cup.

In addition to Bayern Munich, he previously played for Germany's Augsburg and Schalke, and English club Southampton.

Hojbjerg was a Southampton player in 2016-2020.

Last season he had 38 appearances for Southampton.

Separately Southampton signed 23-year-old English right back Kyle Walker-Peters from Tottenham.

Walker-Peters had been loaned to Southampton for the second half of the last season as he played 10 matches in the English Premier League. -
