David Beckham, the world-famous former footballer and owner of Inter Miami, which competes in MLS, attended the World Economic Forum held in Davos. Beckham made striking statements about Turkish football.

"I AM A BIG FAN OF TURKISH FOOTBALL"

Responding to a question from Berfu Güven of CNBC-e, David Beckham said, "I played in Turkey a few times. I scored a goal, no, I missed a penalty in Turkey. Still, it resulted in us winning. I am a big fan of Turkish football. I am a big fan of the players there. Because it is always tough when you play there," he stated.

"I STAY AWAY FROM POLITICS"

Beckham concluded his remarks by saying, "I became a footballer because I stay away from politics. I am not a politician or a scientist. I stay away from all kinds of politics. But the only thing I know is the power of the game and the power of the Premier League's economy. Football is the biggest and most loved sport in the world, and that says it all. I hope this continues because sports and football in general can change people's lives. I have seen this in children. I have seen it worldwide."
