The Center for Combating Disinformation (DMM) announced that claims stating "the refund amounts paid to citizens under the Deposit-Bearing Packaging (DOA) Application have been reduced" are disinformation.
DENIAL MADE REGARDING THE ALLEGATION ABOUT DOA
In a statement made on DMM's social media account, it was said, "The claims in some media outlets and social media posts that 'the refund amounts paid to citizens under the Deposit-Bearing Packaging (DOA) Application have been reduced' contain disinformation. Within the scope of the Deposit-Bearing Packaging (DOA) System, which was rolled out nationwide as of July 1, there has been no change in the incentive fee of 1 TL per packaging determined since the system was first announced, and the process continues uninterrupted at 1 TL. For our citizens who wish to make high-volume (bulk) returns without being limited by the daily machine limit of 200 packages per user, Counting and Verification Centers have been offered as an alternative."

In the statement, which emphasized that citizens should take into account the announcements made by official authorities, it stated, "Only in these centers, for high-volume/bulk returns, the incentive fee per packaging is applied as 50 kuruş. The DOA System, implemented to promote recycling culture and to turn beverage packaging into valuable raw materials instead of waste, is being carried out successfully with great interest and support from our citizens. It is kindly requested not to give credence to unfounded claims and to only take into account the announcements made by authorized official bodies."
