Dervişoğlu closed the doors to the DEM Party delegation: We will not engage in dialogue.

After meeting with PKK terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan in İmralı, the delegation consisting of Dem Party members Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan went on a tour of the Parliament, visiting first TMM Chairman Numan Kurtulmuş and then MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli. While the DEM Party delegation's meetings continued, the stance of the İYİ Party was being wondered about.

"İYİ PARTY WILL NOT ENGAGE"

İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu closed the doors to the DEM Party at a press conference. Dervişoğlu stated, "As the İYİ Party, we cannot have anything to negotiate with 'enemies of the Republic.' The İYİ Party will not engage in any way with the terrorist organization that seeks to be forgiven, its so-called leader, the spokespersons who want to legitimize them, their partners, and their delegations that have no political responsibility."

"WE WILL NOT ALLOW OUR NATION TO BE DECEIVED ONCE AGAIN"

Dervişoğlu continued his speech by saying, "The İYİ Party will not be part of any step that contradicts the expectations of the Turkish nation and the Turkish state, nor will it walk alongside those who do." He added, "We are against discussing our problems; we are against negotiating with the source of the problem. We are against the legitimization of terrorist organizations and their leaders, not a 'Turkey without terrorism.' We will stand firm against the 'dishonorable politics' presented under the guise of 'Turkey without terrorism' and will not allow our nation to be deceived once again."

DEM PARTY DELEGATION'S CONTACTS CONTINUE

The DEM Party delegation's contacts will continue next week as well. Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan will meet with the Future Party on January 6, Monday, at 11:00 AM. At 1:00 PM, a meeting will be held with the AK Party delegation led by Abdullah Güler. After this meeting, at 3:30 PM, a meeting will be held with Saadet Party Chairman Mahmut Arıkan. The meetings will also continue on January 7, Tuesday. The İmralı delegation, which will have its first meeting at 1:00 PM with the DEVA Party on Tuesday, will meet with the New Welfare Party at 3:30 PM.
