Within the scope of the secret investigation conducted by the Denizli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, 12 lawyers, including Denizli Bar Association President Ufuk Kök, were detained in a drug operation. During raids on 21 addresses in Pamukkale and Merkezefendi, cannabis, synthetic pills, and cannabis plants were seized, and the names of those detained have been clarified.

The Denizli Provincial Gendarmerie Command Narcotics Crime Branch teams have carried out a historic operation that shook the legal world in the city. Following critical reports made to the prosecutor's office and 112 emergency line, well-known figures in the judiciary were taken into custody.

SECRET INVESTIGATION LAUNCHED FOLLOWING REPORTS

The operation was triggered by successive reports made to the Denizli Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the 112 Emergency Call Center. The reports stated that Denizli Bar Association President Ufuk Kök and 11 lawyers with him were using narcotics, and that they consumed the substances they obtained at their homes and offices with their close circles. Acting on these serious allegations, the Chief Prosecutor's Office immediately decided to proceed under secrecy and launched a comprehensive investigation.

SIMULTANEOUS RAIDS AT 21 ADDRESSES

The investigation, conducted under the scope of the offense of manufacturing and trading narcotics or stimulant substances, was set in motion on June 17, 2026. Gendarmerie narcotics teams carried out simultaneous raids on 21 separate addresses identified in the Pamukkale and Merkezefendi districts. The homes, workplaces, vehicles, and offices of the 12 detained lawyers at the Denizli Bar Association were thoroughly searched with the assistance of sensitive-nosed narcotics dogs.

DRUGS FOUND AT BAR ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT'S HOME

The criminal elements seized during the meticulous searches conducted by the gendarmerie teams were recorded in the official reports. In the search of the residence of Denizli Bar Association President Ufuk Kök, one of the primary suspects in the investigation, 0.3 grams of cannabis were found.
