It was announced that President Erdoğan's early departure from the AK Party's 172nd Expanded Provincial Chairmen's Meeting was not related to the length of Ali Yerlikaya's speech. It was stated that Erdoğan left the hall due to a scheduled meeting regarding Iraq.

The 172nd Expanded Provincial Chairmen's Meeting of the AK Party was held at the party's headquarters in Ankara. During the meeting, it was claimed that President Erdoğan left the hall early due to the prolonged speech of Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya.

CLAIM THAT "ERDOĞAN LEFT BECAUSE YERLIKAYA'S SPEECH WAS LONG" WAS DENIED

In response to the claim, a statement was made by the Disinformation Combat Center under the Presidency's Communication Directorate. The statement said, "The claim that President Erdoğan left the meeting because Interior Minister Yerlikaya's speech was long is not true." The center's statement also specified the reason for Erdoğan's departure from the meeting, stating:

"Claims in some media outlets that 'President Erdoğan left the hall early because Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya's speech was prolonged' are entirely false and contain disinformation aimed at misleading the public.

"HE LEFT DUE TO A SCHEDULED MEETING"

Our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, attended the 172nd Expanded Provincial Chairmen's Meeting at the AK Party Headquarters today; our Interior Minister, Mr. Ali Yerlikaya, made a presentation on "Traffic Safety" during this program.

After Minister Yerlikaya's presentation, our President left the hall due to a scheduled meeting with the Speaker of the Iraqi Council of Representatives, Mr. Mahmud Mashhadani, and the accompanying delegation, as part of his pre-determined program.

Therefore, the reason for our President's departure from the hall is not the prolongation of the speech, as some media outlets have suggested, but an official meeting that he is required to conduct due to his diplomatic schedule. It is strongly requested that the public pays attention to the statements made by official institutions rather than claims containing manipulation.
