I know that the age difference between my mother and father and me has drawn attention, and I constantly receive comments like 'When did your mother give birth to you?'

Yes, my mother did not give birth to me. I faced the reality of being adopted years ago. I wish I had learned this truth from them, but I found out from a cousin. I might have been a little sad at that time, but over time I realized this: If I were their biological child, it couldn't have been more than this. They never hurt me even once, nor did they look down on me.
