Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced that in an operation conducted in the Arnavutköy district of Istanbul, 773 kilograms of methamphetamine in 29 packages and 28.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine were seized. Two suspected drug traffickers were arrested.
Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said, "In the operation we conducted in the Arnavutköy district of Istanbul, we seized 773 kilograms of methamphetamine in 29 pieces and 28.5 kilograms of methamphetamine in crystal form."
Minister Yerlikaya provided information about the drug operations carried out in Istanbul. In a post on his social media account, he stated, "We seized 801.5 kilograms of methamphetamine. In the operation we conducted in the Arnavutköy district of Istanbul, we seized 773 kilograms of methamphetamine in 29 pieces and 28.5 kilograms of methamphetamine in crystal form. Two suspects, drug traffickers, were arrested. As a result of the efforts coordinated by the Gaziosmanpaşa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Narcotics Crimes Department of the General Directorate of Security, we carried out an operation in the Arnavutköy district," he expressed.

Congratulating the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and the Istanbul Provincial Police Department that conducted the operation, Minister Yerlikaya said, "I congratulate our Gaziosmanpaşa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, which coordinated the operation, and our heroic police officers from the Istanbul Provincial Police Department who carried out the operation. Drugs are humanity's greatest enemy. We will continue to fight against the drug traffickers who dare to do this on behalf of our country and humanity," he said.
