Heavy rainfall in the Artuklu and Kızıltepe districts of Mardin filled the streets and avenues with water. Some businesses were affected by flooding.
Heavy rainfall in the Artuklu and Kızıltepe districts of Mardin negatively affected daily life, flooding streets and avenues. The downpour, which started in the night hours, disrupted life in the city. Puddles formed on Eski Hastane Street and Halı Street in the center of Kızıltepe, while some businesses on the ground floor were flooded. In the Vali Ozan Boulevard of the 13 Mart neighborhood in Artuklu district, the fronts of some buildings were filled with water due to the heavy rain.
MARSU TEAMS CONTINUE WORKING TO DRAIN WATER FROM STREETS AND AVENUES
Water accumulated due to blocked manholes flooded businesses located below street level. While employees in the businesses tried to drain the water, some individuals were seen attempting to open manhole covers by themselves. A motorcycle courier who fell into a water-filled pit was rescued by bystanders. The teams of the Mardin Water and Sewerage Administration (MARSU) stated that they have been working to drain the rainwater accumulated on streets and avenues since the heavy rainfall began during the night hours.
