A heartbreaking detail has emerged from the incident in the Selçuklu district of İzmir, where five siblings lost their lives due to the overturning of an electric heater. It has been revealed that Melisa Akcan, who made a living by collecting scrap metal, had left her children at home while she went out to gather scrap, and she had just returned home when the fire broke out.

According to the information received, locals who saw a fire in a house in Cumhuriyet Neighborhood reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Following the report, health and fire teams were dispatched to the scene. Meanwhile, the mother, who was returning from collecting scrap, also arrived at the house.

5 SIBLINGS LOST THEIR LIVES IN THE FIRE

It was determined that 3 of the 5 siblings, who were affected by the smoke in the same room, lost their lives at the scene. The other 2 siblings, who were taken to the hospital by ambulance, could not be saved despite the intervention. It was stated that the children were alone at home during the fire. The fire was determined to have started due to the overturning of an electric heater.

A heartbreaking detail related to the fire has emerged. Melisa Akcan, who makes a living by collecting scrap, allegedly left her five children, aged between 1 and 5, at home and went out to collect scrap.
