Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek made headlines in Italy with his recent statements. One of Italy's long-established sports newspapers, La Gazzetta dello Sport, announced President Dursun Özbek's recent statements to its readers. The newspaper highlighted Özbek's statement, "I will break the hand of anyone who touches Galatasaray," and shared the following remarks from Özbek;

The full text of Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek's statements that made headlines in the Italian press is as follows;
"We supported Mr. Hacıosmanoğlu in the elections. We had some dissatisfaction. Our rivals tarnished him by talking about the structure, claiming that Mr. Büyükekşi was in our favor. We decided to support Mr. Hacıosmanoğlu within the framework of the promises he made to us regarding football. As we stand today, we are not pleased at all with the attitude taken against Galatasaray Club. This is very clear.
"TFF GAVE US PERMISSION FOR THAT SPONSOR"
We wrote to the TFF regarding the advertisement of the news portal we acquired for the Galatasaray jersey. We have to ask them; the procedure is like that. We asked in writing, and they said, 'We give permission, you can go out to the match, but the responsibility is yours.' From the first day after going out, there was a resonance in Turkey. There were criticisms and objections regarding the issue. Then the TFF wrote us a second letter and said, 'You cannot go out to the match like this.' The President said, 'We showed an attitude in the first letter.' If he understood that they said you cannot go out from the first letter, why did they write the second letter? Did he change his mind due to the pressure from rivals and the public? He was influenced by our rivals who criticize us.
"TFF SPEAKS WITH FENERBAHÇE'S VOICE"
The issue went to court due to our rivals' complaint. We also went and gave our statements. The court decided not to pursue the case regarding the issue. So what happened next? The President said in a program, 'For some reason, the court decided not to pursue the case.' What does 'for some reason' mean? What do you understand from this word? Is it appropriate for the President to cast doubt on the judiciary and the club with these words? This is the same voice as our rival! We do not accept this! Their speaking with our rival's voice raises questions for us.
"YOUR ADDRESSEE IS NOT OKAN HOCAM"
Okan Hoca told a referee, 'You cannot officiate here again,' and was sent off. As a result, they imposed a fine, which the Appeals Board lifted. It was revealed that he was innocent. Subsequently, the TFF President said, 'You said this to the referee, you will see.' Is a TFF President allowed to have such a vengeful, revengeful approach? Okan Hoca is not your addressee anyway! Yes, you gave him the Eyüpspor match! You also arranged the VAR referee accordingly!
"WHAT'S THE NEED FOR ALL THIS?"
We played a European match on Thursday and came back from a distant away game. We wrote to the TFF, requesting that we play like our rivals who played on Monday. We especially considered the health of the players. They said, 'The governor does not want to hold two important matches in Istanbul on Monday. Monday is not possible.' Then we said, 'Ask Eyüpspor and move it to Tuesday.' They also said that the broadcasting organization did not want that. The broadcasting organization said that there was no such application. What is the need for all this?
"THE REFEREE WHO MURDERED TRABZON IN TRABZON WAS ASSIGNED"
The referee assigned to the Eyüpspor match was in spite of Okan Hoca. He chooses a referee for the match and VAR referee in such a way that he has murdered Trabzonspor in Trabzon! He came to our Kasımpaşa match, and he was not good there either! There is a certain problem. I stated on Sunday that I did not blame the match referee. Someone formatted him and sent him, and he did his job.
"TFF AND MHK ARE AGAINST GALATASARAY"
There are various ways to chop a team! You can chop it finely, or you can chop it from the head! In the end, we are not pleased with the TFF. The TFF, together with the MHK, has taken an attitude to affect Galatasaray's success and performance on the field. As the President of Galatasaray, I will not allow anyone to touch our efforts! I have great respect for effort; no one can seize this effort! I will not allow it! I have such a nature!

I was born in the 1950s, in a poor district called Şebinkarahisar. Then I studied in Istanbul; I lost my father at an early age. I became the head of the family at 13 and started trading at 22. I have seen all the difficulties of life. A large part of my business life was spent on the back of buses, on the roads of Anatolia. I know what effort is and what it means to build a life. I have not laid eyes on anyone's rights or a penny. I will not allow anyone to seize my rights. I will gouge the eyes of those who covet Galatasaray's rights, achievements, and points! I will break the hand of those who reach out! Everyone should respect the effort put in!
SHOULD TFF RESIGN?
We do not ask for privileges from anyone. We do not want Galatasaray to be given any privileges. They need to bring justice to Turkish football as they promised in the election. The President must bring justice to Turkish football without deviating from this. There is no need for someone who cannot fulfill the promises they made to sit there anymore! We have no request other than the pursuit of justice. They will not be able to fulfill their promises; there is no need for this TFF!
"MAY GOD GIVE WISDOM"
("In response to the statements 'The other rival says, 'We will destroy the structure.' You also say, 'There is a structure against us'")
The structure statements were also present during the Büyükekşi period. Mr. Büyükekşi left, and again a similar structure story. May God give wisdom.
"WHO DOES THIS STRUCTURE WORK FOR?"
What kind of structure is this? Who does this structure work for in the matches we played over the weekend? No one is saying how the structure is, who it is, or where it is! After the Fenerbahçe match, the vice presidents say, 'There is a structure, like this and that.'
