A fire at a nursing home in Barajevo, near Belgrade, Serbia, resulted in the deaths of 8 people and injuries to 7 others. It was reported that the fire was intentionally set by one individual.

A fire broke out at a nursing home located in Barajevo, near the capital Belgrade, Serbia, around 03:30 local time. It was reported that 8 people lost their lives and 7 others were injured in the fire. Luka Causevic, the head of the Emergency Management Agency, stated that the fire in the nursing home, which housed 30 people, was extinguished in a short time.

A PERSON LIVING IN THE NURSING HOME INTENTIONALLY STARTED THE FIRE

Causevic mentioned that the injured were taken to the hospital and that one woman's condition is serious. In a statement made by the prosecutor's office, it was noted that a person living in the nursing home intentionally started the fire and lost their life.
