While a new conflict breaks out every day just beyond our borders, I want to say very clearly that it is not possible for the political institution to continue on its path with old habits. At this point, what we need to do is clear. We must not allow those who expect Turkey to be dragged into a vortex of hopelessness and their legionnaires among us to fuel tensions and cast a shadow over the thousand-year brotherhood of 85 million. We cannot accept attempts to corner Turkey by pushing it out of the equation through its own business dynamics. We must all see this and be vigilant. Anyone who is making moves to undermine the climate of easing that spreads from politics to society does not wish well for Turkey. Anyone who does not exhibit the virtue of setting aside their political ambitions and ideological prejudices is doing great harm to our country and our nation. Anyone who targets efforts aimed at strengthening our country's security belt under the guise of righteousness, muddles the minds of the nation, and brings back painful memories is clearly committing treason. I say this for the following reason. As you know, Turkey has recently entered a climate of easing in politics. The search for common ground among political actors, especially on national issues, has begun to increase. The will to pull the political institution out of the high tension line caused by three consecutive elections has found resonance in our society along with political parties. Some steps that indicate goodwill have been taken. However, simultaneously with all this, attempts to poison this atmosphere before it bears fruit have intensified. We do not find it at all sincere for some former politicians, who have been excluded by their party and even declared unwanted, to roam from screen to screen, engaging in polarizing rhetoric and targeting the atmosphere of easing in politics with provocative statements.

We consider it a disgrace to respond to the insulting remarks of a person who has lost all the elections he has entered, and who has recently broken a record by losing the internal party race, regarding our alliance partners and, more importantly, his former partners who are now seeking to jointly govern Turkey. Similarly, we absolutely do not approve of the extremely bad and provocative scenes that emerged in some of our provinces yesterday, which glorify terrorism and violence. The use of the language of terrorism by those who are expected to distance themselves from terrorism and violence is a sign of insincerity. Look, we are trying to establish a brotherhood axis that embraces everyone in our entire region, regardless of whether they are Turkish, Turkmen, Arab, or Kurdish, not just among the individuals of different backgrounds in our nation. But you see, some people immediately engage in actions and behaviors that will sabotage this brotherhood axis. No one should take offense; we will not allow the hand that is extended to be torn off instead of being held tightly. We will not remain indifferent to this. While there is so much fire in our region and this fire approaches our borders more and more each day, everyone must come to their senses, act responsibly, and move with a sense of responsibility. I believe it is also worth reminding here. The climate of easing does not mean that we will turn a blind eye to provocations that compromise the security of our country and our nation. Our determination to eliminate all kinds of threats against Turkey and Turkish democracy, including separatist terrorism, is absolute. We will not allow the bad scenes that have been etched in the memory of our nation to be experienced again, and we will not allow it.
