Trabzonspor Club President Ertuğrul Doğan made striking statements during a broadcast he attended. Speaking about Uğurcan Çakır's transfer process to Galatasaray, Doğan said, "Trabzonspor conducts its affairs with respect towards communities, and suspends its relationships with clubs that do not do the same in terms of friendship... Our situation with Galatasaray is the same, in terms of friendship. We have suspended our friendship with Galatasaray."
Trabzonspor Club President Ertuğrul Doğan made striking statements during a live broadcast on TRT Spor, discussing head coach Fatih Tekke, the club's vision, transfer policy, and Uğurcan Çakır, who left the team at the beginning of the season.

Congratulating head coach Fatih Tekke and his team, Ertuğrul Doğan said, ''I congratulate Fatih Tekke and his team. Playing with so many young players takes great courage. Speaking about Uğurcan Çakır's transfer process to Galatasaray, Doğan said, ''Uğurcan coming to me and asking for permission to go to Istanbul teams was the biggest shock of my life. I love him very much, that's a separate issue, but I love Trabzonspor more than anyone else. I am the president of Trabzonspor, and I must defend the interests and rights of this club everywhere. For me, the highest position is Trabzonspor. No one can hold a grudge against Trabzonspor, no one can say they are upset with Trabzonspor. No one has the right to do such a thing, and this applies to me as well. I do not accept it. If he wants to go, the door is there. This applies to everyone, not just Uğurcan. Anyone who is not happy here can leave. After deciding to leave, the president of Trabzonspor's duty is to provide the best conditions, and I believe I have done that abundantly.''
"WE NEED CHARACTERED PLAYERS"
Continuing his remarks, Doğan said, ''I need captains like Dozer Cemil. I need captains like Fatih Tekke, who signed with another team at the signing ceremony but said, 'I am a Trabzonspor fan,' or players who shed tears because they won't play. We need players who can represent this city with their character. If Uğurcan is at a point where he does not realize which team he will go to, the only thing the president of Trabzonspor can do is to give Uğurcan to the team that offers more money. As long as it is in the interest of Trabzonspor, I do not recognize anyone.''
