THREATS WERE MADE
In an incident that occurred yesterday on Adnan Menderes Boulevard, it was observed that the driver, who was moving in the wrong direction, used harsh and threatening language towards the citizen who warned him. The driver said, "Look at the ID. You will be taken by Homeland Security. What do you care, you say it's a one-way street, do you have to say it? We will meet you." He ignored the words of other citizens at the scene who said, "You say you are from the police, but you are not following the rules."
SECURITY IMMEDIATELY TOOK ACTION
After the footage spread, the teams from the Istanbul Police Department Traffic Inspection Branch immediately launched an investigation. In the investigations, it was determined that the driver was 22-year-old C.M., and the person in the passenger seat who showed a fake parliamentary ID and a wallet with a TBMM badge during the argument was 53-year-old A.M.
AN INVESTIGATION FOR FORGERY OF DOCUMENTS HAS BEEN INITIATED
The individuals taken into custody by the teams were imposed a total administrative fine of 16,246 lira for violating the "wrong direction," "stopping on the roadway," and "not wearing a seatbelt" articles of the Highway Traffic Law. Additionally, an official investigation was initiated against A.M. for the crime of "forgery of official documents" for possessing a fake ID and state institution badge despite not being a member of parliament.
