Retail trade volume in the EU grew 1.2% in June month-on-month, the bloc's statistical office said on Wednesday.
It rose 2.6% for non-food products and 3.6% for automotive fuels, while inching down 1.1% for food, drinks and tobacco, Eurostat said.
The highest increases were seen in Ireland (+9.4%), Germany and Latvia (both +4.2%) whereas the largest decreases were observed in Malta (-3.0%), Austria (-2.7%) and Croatia (-2.6%).
Meanwhile, the calendar adjusted volume of retail trade increased 5.3% in the EU year-on-year. -
