Fenerbahçe announced that the transfer of N'Golo Kante has been canceled. However, it expressed that the process could not be completed independently of Fenerbahçe due to incorrect information entered into the system by the opposing club.
While developments regarding the transfer of N'Golo Kante to Fenerbahçe have resonated widely in the public, the yellow-navy club made an official statement regarding the process. Reports that the manager Ertan Torunoğulları, who is expected to finalize the transfer by going to Saudi Arabia, reached an agreement after negotiations had created great excitement among the fans. However, with the latest information from Saudi Arabia, it was learned that the transfer has been canceled.
DETAILED STATEMENT FROM THE CLUB
Fenerbahçe stated in a statement on its official website that the transfer process involving N'Golo Kanté and Youssef En-Nesyri was carried out as planned and meticulously by the club. The statement emphasized that an agreement was reached with the players at the request of the technical staff, health checks were completed, necessary approvals were obtained, and the club fulfilled all its obligations in a timely manner. It was also stated that the documents related to the transfer registration were uploaded to the system in a timely and accurate manner.

However, Fenerbahçe announced that the process could not be completed due to a problem arising from the opposing club. According to the statement, the transactions could not be finalized within the transfer registration period due to the Al Ittihad Club entering incorrect TMS information. It was noted that the yellow-navy club requested an extension, made efforts with FIFA, and took all steps to resolve the process, yet the opposing club did not complete the transactions without providing any justification.

The Fenerbahçe management emphasized that the squad restructuring will continue with the same determination and discipline in line with sporting goals.

"The transfer process involving N'Golo Kanté and Youssef En-Nesyri with Al Ittihad Club has been carried out meticulously by our club as planned and in all aspects.
In this process, which progressed at the request of our technical staff, agreements were reached with the players; the health checks of the player to be transferred were completed, necessary approvals were obtained, and our club fulfilled all its obligations in a timely manner. The documents related to the transfer registration were uploaded to the system accurately and completely within the specified time.
However, due to the incorrect entry of the relevant TMS information by the opposing club, the transactions could not be completed independently of our club within the transfer registration period. In this regard, an extension was requested, necessary discussions were held with FIFA by our club, and all steps were taken to resolve the process. Nevertheless, during the ongoing process, the opposing club did not complete the transactions without providing any justification.
As a result of these developments, unfortunately, the transfer process in question could not be completed.
