Turkish Süper Lig team Eyüpspor has reached an agreement with Orhan Ak after parting ways with head coach Selçuk Şahin. In a statement from the club, it was noted that a three-year agreement has been reached in principle with Ak. Orhan Ak, who previously served as an assistant to Emre Belözoğlu, began his coaching career at Fatih Karagümrük, where he achieved an average of 1.44 points over 18 matches.
The Istanbul team, which parted ways with Selçuk Şahin, has reached an agreement with Orhan Ak following Şahin's departure.
3-YEAR AGREEMENT
Eyüpspor announced that they have reached a 3-year agreement with Orhan Ak. In the club's statement, it was said, "Our ikas Eyüpspor has reached a principle agreement for 3 years with head coach Orhan Ak." After parting ways with Selçuk Şahin, Eyüpspor also held discussions with Emre Belözoğlu, but chose to go with Orhan Ak, who is Emre Belözoğlu's former assistant, for the head coach position.
FATİH KARAGÜMRÜK PERFORMANCE
After serving as Emre Belözoğlu's assistant, 46-year-old Orhan Ak began his head coaching career at Fatih Karagümrük, where he managed the Istanbul team between January 2025 and April 2025. Orhan Ak achieved an average of 1.44 points in 18 matches with Fatih Karagümrük.
EYÜPSPOR'S SITUATION
Eyüpspor is currently in 16th place in the Super League, having collected 5 points after 8 matches. The Istanbul team will face Trabzonspor after the international break.
