The speech made by the HDP Ağrı MP Sırrı Sakık in the Parliament sparked controversy. Sakık's statement, "Those who ignore the Kurds after we built the country together are despicable," raised the question, "Did he target Atatürk?"
The founder of the Republic of Turkey, the Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, was allegedly targeted by DEM Party Ağrı Deputy Sırrı Sakık, whose speech in the Parliament sparked a major controversy.
DERVİŞOĞLU: YOU ARE AS COWARDLY AS THEY ARE
İYİ Party Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu, in his speech at the party's group meeting, made harsh criticisms towards Sakık and the DEM Party. Dervişoğlu stated, "You are the political extension of the terrorist organization that is a curse upon this nation. You are as cowardly as they are. You are so shameless, so brazen," he expressed.
TURHAN ÇÖMEZ USED THE SAME EXPRESSION
After İYİ Party member Turhan Çömez used the term "coward" for terrorist organization leader Abdullah Öcalan, Sakık took the floor in the Parliament to respond to these remarks.
SIRRI SAKIK: THE GREATEST COWARD IS HIM
Sırrı Sakık reacted to the terms "traitor" and "coward," which have been frequently used in the Parliament recently, stating, "Recently, the words 'traitor' and 'coward' are flying around in the Parliament. Do you know what true cowardice is? Those who deny the Kurds after jointly founding the country are cowards. Those who ban a people's language, who seize their rights, are cowards. Those who have murdered tens of thousands of Kurds with unsolved murders and remained silent, those who burn villages, those who want the deaths to continue are cowards. Whoever calls us cowards, the greatest coward is him," he said.
DID HE MEAN ATATÜRK?
Following these statements, discussions flared up regarding whether Sakık was referring to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic. Sakık's words quickly became a trending topic on social media. Thousands of users reacted with comments like, "Did he target Atatürk?"
