The claim that five lieutenants expelled from the Turkish Armed Forces (TSK) would march to Anıtkabir with a large group has sparked controversy, while their lawyers issued a denial regarding the matter. In a written statement, it was noted, "The social media post suggesting that our young lieutenants would march to Anıtkabir does not reflect the truth. Our clients are not aware of such an action."
After the images reflected to the public following the Flag Transfer and Graduation Ceremony of the Army Academy, administrative and disciplinary investigations were initiated, resulting in "Dismissal from the Armed Forces" penalties for 3 sequential disciplinary officers and 5 lieutenants.
CLAIM OF "WALKING TO ANITKABIR"
An allegation regarding the 5 lieutenants dismissed from the Turkish Armed Forces has caused a significant public reaction. It was claimed that the lieutenants would walk to Anıtkabir with a large group, and responses from their lawyers were quick to appear in some media outlets.
DENIAL FROM THEIR LAWYERS
In a written statement made on social media, the following expressions were used; "The social media post claiming that our young lieutenants will walk to Anıtkabir does not reflect the truth. Our clients are not aware of such an action. It is assessed that those who made the mentioned post are not aware of the situation and that the post was made in good faith."
