Family gathering in Sakarya turned bloody: 1 dead, 6 injured.

In a fight that broke out between family members with animosity in Hendek district of Sakarya, 1 person died and 6 people were injured.

A family in Hendek district of Sakarya gathered to resolve their problems. Blood was shed in the place where the family gathered to reconcile their long-standing land dispute. 1 person died and 6 people were injured, 2 of them seriously, in the fight. 10 individuals were detained in the incident.

The incident occurred yesterday evening around 17:00 in Hamitli neighborhood. Allegedly, a family that has been in dispute over grazing and land issues for years organized a meeting to reconcile within themselves. The argument that broke out during the meeting quickly escalated into a fight. In the fight where knives and sticks were used; a total of 7 people named Mehmet Ayar (33), Emine A. (40), S.A. (45), H.A. (37), A.A. (43), A.A. (40), and R.A. (27) were injured.

Upon notification of the situation, a large number of health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. The injured, who were intervened by the health teams reaching the address, were taken to various hospitals. Despite the interventions performed at the hospital where Mehmet Ayar was taken, he could not be saved and lost his life. It was learned that Emine A. and S.A., who were taken to Sakarya Education and Research Hospital, are still in critical condition. While 10 individuals were detained regarding the incident, a comprehensive investigation was initiated regarding the fight.
