A ceremony was held at the Yalova Police Department for the three police officers who were martyred in the operation against the terrorist organization ISIS in Yalova. In his speech at the ceremony, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya stated, "We will continue our fight against terrorism without stopping, with the prayers of our nation, with our heroic soldiers and police, and with God's permission, without pause."

In the operation against the terrorist organization ISIS's safe house in Yalova, the police responded to the call, "It's a pity for the children, surrender," with gunfire. The terrorists used women and children as human shields. The clash, which started at 02:00 at night, lasted approximately 8 hours. In the conflict, 3 police officers were martyred, 8 police officers and a guard were injured. 6 terrorists were killed, and 5 people were detained.

LAST FAREWELL TO THE MARTYRS

A ceremony was held at the Yalova Police Department for the police officers İlker Pehlivan, Turgut Külünk, and Yasin Koçyiğit, who were martyred in the operation against ISIS yesterday in Yalova.

Speaking at the ceremony, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said, "We bid farewell to our 3 police officers who were martyred so that our homeland may endure. İlker Pehlivan, Turgut Külünk, and Yasin Koçyiğit served with the dignity of standing against the oppressor. They were the soldiers of the martyrdom hearth, willing to die for the beloved crescent. You have been inscribed as an honor in the destiny of our noble nation. Our heroic police stood firm with determination and resolve against the treacherous terrorists who used women and children as shields, alongside the comrades we bid farewell to today. You have turned the traps set for our nation back on those who laid them. May Allah be pleased with all of you. Every moment you donned your uniform, the prayers from the hearths with rising smoke were for you. There is a deep pain in our hearts. No words can express this pain. You are never alone. This pain starts in your home but spreads to the hearts of 86 million. Today, we are all in the same prayer for our martyrs. We are all under the same banner, sharing the same sorrow. In our belief, martyrdom is one of the highest ranks.

"WE WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE FORWARD IN THE FIGHT AGAINST TERRORISM"

Today, our pain is very great, but our determination is also very great. It is our duty to keep the memory of our martyrs alive and to protect this homeland they entrusted to us. This debt is paid not with words but with perseverance. It is paid by enlarging the struggle and with determination. Just as we have not given opportunities to those who try to subdue this homeland with terrorism until now, we will not give them opportunities in the future either. We will move forward with determined and confident steps in the fight against terrorism. We will continue without stopping, with the prayers of our nation, with our heroic soldiers and police, and with the permission of Allah. We will take care of the legacies of our martyrs to whom we witnessed their martyrdom. Those who attempt to undermine our unity and exploit our faith will see the power of our state and the unity of our nation before them. I commemorate all our martyrs who fell to the ground for the homeland with mercy, gratitude, and respect. I wish my condolences to our esteemed nation," he said.
