In Eyüpsultan, a mother and her two sons have been detained on suspicion of stabbing and killing Recep Kütükçü during a domestic dispute. The suspects, who deny the allegations and claim that the incident was an accident, were captured on security camera footage removing bloody items from the house. As the suspects were being taken to the courthouse, the mother, F.K., stated, "It was an accident. He was going to kill me."

On June 30th, around 21:40 in the Güzeltepe neighborhood, a person who called 112 Emergency Service requested help, stating that there had been an accident at home and that their father had fallen onto a knife and was injured. Health teams who arrived at the scene determined that Recep Kütükçü (54) had sustained a deep cut on his right knee and had died from blood loss.
MOTHER AND TWO SONS DETAINED
Following the incident being deemed suspicious by the Homicide Bureau, an investigation was initiated. The mother F.K., and her sons M.K. (32) and Y.R.K. (22) were detained. The suspects stated that their father, with whom they constantly argued, attacked them with a knife on the day of the incident, and during the struggle, he fell and the knife got stuck in his own leg.
"HE FELL TO THE GROUND"
The mother F.K. stated in her police testimony that her husband had previously injured them while intoxicated, saying, "My husband was drinking alcohol in the kitchen. An argument broke out between us. Suddenly, he pulled out a knife and attacked us. He was threatening to kill us. While my sons were trying to intervene, he fell to the ground. The knife got stuck in his leg," she said. It was learned that F.K.'s sons also gave similar statements.
ITEMS THROWN IN THE TRASH
In the investigations related to the incident, the police found some security camera footage that contradicted the testimonies. The footage showed the suspects carrying some items from the house and throwing them in the trash after the incident.
During the search of the trash container, one bloody pair of shorts, one bloody cloth, and one bloody chair were found. Additionally, two knives believed to have been used in the incident were seized for examination during the search of the house. Furthermore, it was determined that the entrance of the apartment had been cleaned after the incident.

The mother and her two sons, along with a person alleged to have assisted them, were referred to the courthouse after completing their procedures at the police station.
