President Erdogan met with young people after the 30th anniversary program of TURGEV. The message "Dad, set aside one of your nights for us" on a painting gifted to him on Father's Day reminded Erdogan of a note his daughter Esra Erdogan Albayrak had left him years ago. During the emotional gathering, Erdogan chatted with the youth and took commemorative photos.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the program held at the Halic Congress Center on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Turkey Youth and Education Service Foundation (TURGEV).
After the program, Erdoğan came together with the youth waiting in the area and encountered a special surprise prepared for Father's Day.
SPECIAL PAINTING PRESENTED
When AK Party Istanbul Provincial Chairman Abdullah Ozdemir informed that the youth wanted to celebrate President Erdoğan's Father's Day, Erdoğan went over to the youth.
Abdullah Ozdemir and his wife Nihal Ozdemir presented the specially prepared painting to Erdoğan. The painting, prepared by AK Party Istanbul Youth Branches, featured the phrases "Good thing Erdoğan exists", "Dad, set aside one night for us too", and "Today, millions of youth thank you for those nights."
REFERENCE TO A MEMORY FROM YEARS AGO
The phrase "Dad, set aside one night for us too" in the painting referenced a family memory Erdoğan had previously recounted. President Erdoğan, in a past interview, described the periods when he could not spend enough time with his children due to intense political work, and mentioned that his daughter Esra Erdoğan Albayrak had written "Dad, set aside one night for us too" in a note left on his door.
TOOK SOUVENIR PHOTO WITH YOUTH
During the emotional meeting, President Erdoğan chatted with the youth and took a souvenir photo. AK Party Youth Branches General President Yusuf Ibis and AK Party Istanbul Youth Branches President Nevzat Yuce also attended the program.
