Fenerbahçe has purchased 85% of the shares of Bregalnica Stip, a club competing in the North Macedonia Second League, for 300,000 euros.

Fenerbahçe, in line with its goal of creating a future-oriented infrastructure network, took a surprising step by purchasing 85% of the shares of Bregalnica Stip, a team from the North Macedonia 2nd League.

300 THOUSAND EUROS PAID

The yellow-navy blue club made a payment of 300 thousand Euros to acquire the majority shares of the club. Half of this amount was transferred to the club's previous owner, while the other half was given to the Stip Municipality.

SHARES WILL BE TRANSFERRED IF RELEGATED

The most striking clause in the agreement made by Fenerbahçe is the condition that if the club is relegated to the third league, the purchased shares will be completely transferred to the Štip Municipality. This special guarantee clause carries a significant risk factor that directly ties the future of the investment to the club's sporting success. Through this investment, the club aims not only to create a football infrastructure but also to expand its football viewing network in Europe and create potential investment areas.

RISING "SATELLITE CLUB" MODEL IN EUROPE

Fenerbahçe's investment in the Bregalnica club serves as an example of the increasingly popular "satellite club" model in European football. This model involves large clubs investing in smaller clubs to discover young talents and develop potential transfer targets. With this strategy, Fenerbahçe aims to have a say in the football market in the Balkans and contribute to the Bregalnica club in terms of infrastructure development, sports planning, and financial support.

This partnership offers significant opportunities for Bregalnica in terms of infrastructure development, sports planning, and financial support. It is anticipated that the club could undergo a major transformation with the support of Fenerbahçe. The yellow-navy blue club has made a significant investment to discover young players and provide them with opportunities on an international platform. This development could also be an important turning point for North Macedonian football.
