After the death of the master of Arabesque music, Ferdi Tayfur, a new crisis erupted among family members who clashed over the inheritance. Tayfur's daughter, Tuğçe Tayfur, and his niece, Şirin Gözalıcı, announced separate prayer ceremonies.
The famous singer, composer, songwriter, director, and actor Ferdi Tayfur passed away on January 2nd. Tayfur's funeral was held at Yeniköy Cemetery. After the death of the master artist, a heritage crisis arose among family members.
HERITAGE CRISIS IN FERDI TAYFUR'S FAMILY
The fact that Tuğçe Tayfur's name was not included in Tayfur's inheritance caused tension. Following the inheritance discussions, a mevlit crisis has now erupted among family members. Tuğçe Tayfur and Ferdi Tayfur's niece Şirin Gözalıcı announced separate mevlit programs.
DAUGHTER AND NIECE MADE SEPARATE STATEMENTS
Şirin Gözalıcı announced that they will hold a mevlit for her uncle at Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque: "On the 40th day of the passing of our family’s cornerstone, Mr. Ferdi Tayfur, who we lost on January 2, 2025, a mevlit will be held on Wednesday, February 12, at 18:00 at Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque. All our friends and loved ones are invited."
Tuğçe Tayfur made another statement. Tayfur said, "On the 40th day of our late father's passing, a Mevlid-i Sharif will be recited on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at 19:00 at Eyüp Sultan Mosque. All his loved ones and friends are invited. Ferdi Tayfur Family..."
