A fire alert at the BOTAŞ facilities in Silivri, Istanbul, prompted the dispatch of numerous teams to the area. In a statement regarding the fire, the Istanbul Governorship said, "The teams are continuing to intervene in the fire, and according to initial assessments, there are no fatalities or injuries in the incident."
A fire broke out for an undetermined reason at the natural gas storage facility owned by BOTAŞ in Silivri, Istanbul.
Upon notification, a large number of fire crews from surrounding districts were dispatched to the area. While BOTAŞ teams cut off the gas flow, the fire crews intervened in the fire. Personnel on duty at the facility were evacuated. The fire was brought under control with the intervention of the teams.

In a statement made by the Istanbul Governor's Office regarding the incident, it was stated, "A fire broke out at the BOTAŞ facilities in Silivri on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, around 14:30 for an undetermined reason. A large number of fire, AFAD, and UMKE teams have been dispatched to the scene. The teams' intervention in the fire is ongoing, and according to initial assessments, there are no fatalities or injuries. The exact cause of the fire will be determined in the investigation to be conducted by the teams after the fire."
