A fire broke out in a historic building that was built in 1892 and served as a courthouse in Floyd County, Georgia, USA. As the flames spread quickly, fire crews were dispatched to the area. Those in the courthouse were evacuated, and roads were closed to traffic. While there were no fatalities or injuries in the fire, significant damage occurred to the historic building.

In a statement from the Floyd County Administration, it was noted that renovation work was taking place in the courthouse at the time the fire broke out. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
