A fire broke out in the forested area of Kahyalar Village in the center of Karabük. As the flames spread rapidly due to the wind, Kale and Kahyalar Villages were evacuated.

TWO NEIGHBORHOODS EVACUATED



As the fire approached residential areas, some neighborhoods in Kale and Kahyalar villages were evacuated as a precaution. The teams are continuously working to bring the fire, which broke out near Zobran Prison, Police Vocational School, and the Organized Industrial Zone, under control.

MINISTER YUMAKLI: FIRES IN 3 CITIES ARE UNDER CONTROL



Minister Yumaklı stated: "The forest fires in Uşak Sivaslı, Kahramanmaraş Onikişubat, and İzmir Bornova have been completely brought under control thanks to the intense efforts of our air and ground vehicles and forest heroes. Our fight against the flames will continue uninterrupted until the last fire is extinguished."

1500 HECTARES OF LAND DAMAGED



Approximately 1500 hectares of land were damaged in the fire, and 130 people were evacuated to safe areas. Meanwhile, 5 of the 6 personnel affected by smoke during the intervention were discharged after treatment in the hospital.

FIGHTING FIRE CONTINUES IN BURSA



The forest fire between the districts of Orhaneli and Harmancık in Bursa is being brought under control with aerial and ground interventions on its 3rd day. The fire, which started the day before in the forested area of Yakuplar neighborhood in Orhaneli district and is advancing towards Harmancık district, is still being intervened by the Forest Regional Directorate and fire brigade teams.

WIND MAKES IT HARDER FOR TEAMS



In the area where flames occasionally rise and smoke intensifies, the flames approached the rural Çakmak neighborhood of Harmancık district, which had been evacuated as a precaution. Intense interventions from the air and ground are being made to stop the advance of the fire. The local people are also supporting the teams with water-filled tankers tied to their tractors.

The fire, which has grown due to strong winds, is causing difficult moments for the teams. The Orhaneli-Harmancık highway has also been temporarily closed to traffic due to the fire.

The Bursa Governorship announced that a total of 712 vehicles and 1,496 personnel have been dispatched to the fire, including 5 firefighting planes, 30 helicopters, 64 first response vehicles, 422 firefighting vehicles, 43 construction machines, and 183 evacuation and support vehicles. As night fell, firefighting planes and helicopters paused their operations, while ground teams continued their interventions. The teams are working on a 24-hour basis to bring the fire under control.
