FIREWORKS SALES BANNED IN BATMANDue to the ongoing tensions, the Batman Governorship announced that the sale of fireworks in the city is banned until further notice. In a statement from the governorship, it was announced that the sale of fireworks, which are used in all kinds of events and activities such as demonstrations, marches, and protests, is prohibited until further notice. The statement said, "It has been observed that fireworks are sold in places such as grocery stores, stationery shops, markets, and kiosks, and that injuries have occurred as a result of these items being used by small children. The aim is to prevent injuries, deaths, and the fear, excitement, and panic caused to citizens due to the use of pyrotechnic materials without necessary safety measures, as well as the unauthorized, untimely, or inappropriate use of these materials. The sale and use of fireworks by grocery stores, markets, stationery shops, and unauthorized individuals within the municipal boundaries is prohibited until further notice. Those who sell and use fireworks will face necessary legal penalties," it was stated. GENERAL DIRECTORATE OF SECURITY: 140 SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN 8 PROVINCESIn a statement from the General Directorate of Security, it was stated, "A total of 140 suspects who threw stones at security forces, physically attacked, and injured 16 of our security personnel and 2 citizens were arrested in 8 provinces, including Mardin, Batman, Şanlıurfa, Istanbul, Van, Diyarbakır, Adana, and Antalya, and legal proceedings have been initiated against them. Additionally, legal actions have been initiated against 75 account users identified as making provocative posts on social media platforms. Our valuable citizens, let us not fall for provocations. Let us not commit crimes by harming people, the environment, and property through illegal means. Our state is strong. Those who conspire against our state and nation will receive the response they deserve," the statement included.
