While the U.S. military's operations against the ISIS terrorist organization continue in Syria, a statement has been released from CENTCOM. CENTCOM announced that they conducted 5 operations against ISIS across Syria in 5 days.

U.S. STRIKES ISIS IN SYRIA
In the new era, the first major move from the U.S. came in Syria. The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that it conducted five airstrikes against numerous ISIS targets across Syria between January 27 and February 2.
ISIS FACILITIES TARGETED
According to CENTCOM's statement, the strikes targeted many ISIS facilities, including a communications facility, a critical logistics hub, and weapons storage sites.
The statement noted that the targets were destroyed using approximately 50 precision munitions dropped by fixed-wing aircraft, rotary-wing (helicopter) aircraft, and unmanned aerial systems.
"SHOWING OUR DETERMINATION IN THE FIGHT AGAINST ISIS"
CENTCOM Commander Admiral Brad Cooper stated, "Striking these targets demonstrates our determination to prevent the resurgence of ISIS in Syria and our ongoing focus."
Cooper said that acting in coordination with coalition and partner forces to ensure the permanent defeat of ISIS "makes America, the region, and the world safer."
