Flood disaster in Ordu and Muş: 2 people lost their lives.

After heavy rainfall in Ordu, an elderly woman lost her life after being swept away by a flood in the Çaybaşı district.

ELDERLY WOMAN SWEPT AWAY BY FLOOD

Heavy rainfall in Ordu caused floods in the Çaybaşı and İkizce districts. Due to the rain, the water levels of the rivers in both districts sometimes reached the bridge level. In the Çaybaşı district, it was learned that an 83-year-old elderly woman named Hatice Kocakoç fell into the water while passing through the drain after the heavy rain turned into a flood.

LIFELESS BODY FOUND 2 KILOMETERS AWAY

Ordu Metropolitan Municipality and AFAD teams quickly arrived at the scene after the incident. The teams found Kocakoç's lifeless body 2 kilometers away from the area where the flood carried it.

The Metropolitan Municipality and AFAD teams continue their efforts to prevent any further loss of life in the region. Precautions for the safety of the citizens are being increased, and authorities continue to urge caution in case of further rainfall.
