A LARGE NUMBER OF OFFICIALS WELCOMED HIM AT ESENBOĞA
The plane bringing Minister Blinken and his accompanying delegation landed at Esenboğa Airport. Blinken was welcomed at Esenboğa Airport by the Director General of Foreign Affairs Protocol, Ambassador Ahmet Cemil Miroğlu, and the Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Ankara, Michael Goldman, along with many other officials.
HE WILL MEET WITH HAKAN FIDAN
Before coming to Turkey, Blinken visited Jordan and is expected to meet with Minister Fidan tomorrow. In a statement from the U.S. Department of State, it was noted that during Blinken's visit, the transition process following the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad's regime in Syria and the political process in the country, as well as a possible ceasefire agreement in Gaza, would be on the agenda.
Foreign Minister Fidan and his U.S. counterpart Blinken had phone conversations on the recent developments in Syria on December 7 and 10.
