THE INVESTIGATION BEGAN WITH A COMPLAINT FROM THE CMB The investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office is ongoing following a complaint by the Capital Markets Board (CMB) regarding allegations that some financial services and trading companies were illegally trading with bank accounts in an unauthorized and leveraged manner.
Bayram Ali Bayramoğlu BAYRAM ALİ BAYRAMOĞLU WAS ARRESTED As part of the investigation, former Rize MP and former MÜSİAD President Bayram Ali Bayramoğlu was detained in Ankara yesterday and later brought to Istanbul. Bayramoğlu, who was also a founding member and founding vice president of MÜSİAD, was referred to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.
Here, Bayramoğlu gave a statement to the Prosecutor's Office and was later brought before the duty judge with a request for arrest for 'unauthorized capital market activity'. The court issued an arrest warrant for Bayramoğlu.
