In the second leg of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round, Azerbaijan's Karabakh team defeated Bulgarian representative Ludogorets 7-2. While Karabakh lost the first match 2-1, they finished the second leg leading 3-2 after 90 minutes and the match went into extra time. Karabakh, scoring 4 goals in extra time, advanced to the next round with a 7-2 victory. Former Fenerbahçe player Yassine Benzia made a significant impact on the night with 2 goals and 1 assist.

The Karabakh team of Azerbaijan advanced to the play-off round by defeating Bulgarian representative Ludogorets 7-2 in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round.

4 GOALS IN EXTRA TIME

After losing the first leg 2-1 at home, the Azerbaijani team finished the 90 minutes of the second leg at Gradski Dianko Stefanov Stadium with a 3-2 lead, leading the match to extra time. Karabakh scored 4 goals in extra time and left their mark with a 7-2 victory.

Yassine Benzia, the Algerian player of Karabakh who has also played for Fenerbahçe and Hatayspor, shone with 2 goals and 1 assist.

The goals that brought victory to the Azerbaijani team were scored by Juninho in the 6th minute, Yassine Benzia in the 45+2 and 118th minutes, Patrick in the 45+6 and 112th minutes, Tural Bayramov in the 93rd minute, and Redon Xhixha in the 110th minute. However, the goals scored by Kwadwo Duah in the 14th and 23rd minutes were not enough for Ludogorets.

OPPONENT: DINAMO ZAGREB

Karabakh will face Croatia's Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League play-off round. The first leg will be played in Croatia on August 20 or 21, and the second leg will be played in Azerbaijan on August 27 or 28. The winner of this match will advance to the group stage of the Champions League.
