"CURRENTLY, THE ANNUAL PROTEIN REQUIREMENT OF THE WORLD'S POPULATION IS 202 MILLION TONS"Dr. Tekiner stated that with the increase in the world population, the need for protein is also rising rapidly. He expressed that meeting the annual protein requirement of 202 million tons is a significant challenge and emphasized the importance of alternative protein sources. In this context, he noted that humanity has been consuming insects for 7,000 years and scientifically identified 28 species of insects that can be eaten. "COLONIES ON THE MOON ARE PLANNED TO BE ESTABLISHED BY 2030"Sharing information about space studies, Dr. Tekiner said that plans to establish colonies on the Moon are aimed to be realized by 2030. He emphasized that a human needs 3,500 calories of energy daily in space and stated that the cost of sending one kilogram of food from Earth to space is approximately 150,000 dollars.
