From Soylu to Enginyurt: We look at the words, wondering if they are just words; we look at the speaker, wondering if they are a person of substance.

Independent MP Cemal Enginyurt, who resigned from the Democratic Party and continued on his own, targeted former Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu in his speech at the Parliament. Enginyurt praised the new Minister Ali Yerlikaya while criticizing Soylu.

"THE PREVIOUS MINISTER'S TERM WAS VERY BAD"

Speaking at the podium of the Parliament, Enginyurt said, "I was very emotional while listening to Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya. Many beautiful things have been done in this Cabinet period, as all the irregularities committed by the CHP in the previous Cabinet have been resolved. What has happened, what has happened. All the dirty work happened during the previous minister's term. While saying '70 terrorists remained', 1380 terrorists have been dealt with during this minister's term. The previous minister's term was very bad. All the dirty work had already happened together. We need to get rid of all the dirty work in the country," he stated.

"WHAT HE SAID HAS NO SIGNIFICANCE"

A harsh response came from Soylu to Enginyurt's words. Sharing tweets that praised himself during a certain period, Soylu said, "Just as the praises he made for me in the past have no value, what he says today also has no value."

Soylu's post was as follows; "The slanders made by the known person regarding me are matters of law and politics. However, responding to the slander that the number of PKK terrorists in the mountains was not 77 in May 2023 by distorting the budget statement in our esteemed Parliament is a necessity of our respect for the struggle against terrorism carried out by our state and your heroes with sacrifices.

The number of terrorists in the country (the number of terrorists in the mountains) that was 77 that day is now half. These numbers are determined as a result of assessments made twice a year by the General Staff, MIT, Gendarmerie, and Police. However, the figure mentioned in the budget is the total number of those detained, arrested, killed, and rendered ineffective in the fight against all terrorist organizations in urban and rural areas (1381).

We will not allow the sacrifices of our heroes to be used as fodder by those who shout morning and night against the state and the nation, by gambling tables, stock market speculators, and business followers. Just as the praises he made for me in the past have no value, what you say today also has no value.
