It has been reported that 50,000 tribe members have reached Suwayda, while clashes have intensified in the western part of the region.

Conflicts continue between Druze groups and Bedouin Arab tribes in the city of Suwayda in southern Syria. The clashes between the armed Arab tribes, who swore revenge and set out towards Suwayda, and the Druze groups intensified in the west of Suwayda.

Following the ceasefire achieved yesterday in Suwayda, chaos is occurring in the country due to the continuation of clashes between Druze and Bedouin groups and the desire of tribes from surrounding areas to get involved in the conflict.

ARAB TRIBES HAD CALLED FOR MOBILIZATION

Arab tribes in Syria declared "general mobilization" yesterday. The tribes state that this call was made to assist the Bedouin tribes in the southern province.

In the mobilization statement obtained by the German news agency DPA, the tribes expressed, "As the children of the Syrian tribes, we are deeply concerned about the massacres and genocides against the Bedouin tribes in Suwayda. What is happening has led to the displacement and migration of innocent civilians." Additionally, the tribes state that they are acting with ethical responsibility and demand that the Syrian government does not prevent fighters from outside the region from moving to assist the Bedouin tribes. It is also noted that any intervention against the fighters will not go unanswered. According to a tribal official speaking to DPA, the number of tribal fighters participating in the attack on Suwayda has exceeded 50,000. Tens of thousands of fighters are also expected to reach the region from eastern Syria and Aleppo and its surroundings this morning. The official stated that 41 tribes and clans have participated in the clashes.

UNITED NATIONS: ALL PEOPLE MUST BE PROTECTED

Another statement came from the United Nations (UN). Türk added, "This bloodbath and violence must stop; the protection of all people based on international law should be the top priority."

ISRAEL GAVE 48 HOURS

A source speaking to the Israeli press, who wished to remain anonymous, stated that the Tel Aviv administration would allow Syrian internal security forces to enter the city of Suwayda due to the "instability" in the region. The Israeli official expressed that the entry of Syrian internal security forces into Suwayda would "last 48 hours and be limited." Israel had previously conducted numerous airstrikes against Syrian forces in and around Suwayda, which has been the scene of clashes.

SYRIAN SOURCE DENIES CLAIMS OF ENTRY INTO SUWAYDA

On the other hand, it was reported that claims regarding the entry of military forces loyal to the Damascus administration into Suwayda to stop the renewed clashes between Bedouin Arabs and armed Druze groups are not true. Syrian state television Al-Ikhbariya shared information from security sources in the field on its Facebook account regarding the claims. The post stated, "So far, the news that the (Syrian) Ministry of Interior forces have entered the region to end the clashes in Suwayda is not true."

THE WEST OF THE COUNTRY IS IN FLAMES

In Suwayda province, despite the withdrawal of the Damascus administration from the region after reaching an agreement with local groups the previous evening, clashes had resumed due to the forced displacement actions of Druze leader Hikmet al-Hijri's group against the Bedouin Arabs. Last night, the Bedouin Arabs, with the participation of hundreds of fighters from Arab tribes in other regions of Syria, managed to reclaim some settlements from Hijri's group and reached the western entrance of the city center. Armed Druze groups withdrew from the outskirts of the city and established their defenses in the center of Suwayda. Clashes between the parties continue at the western entrance of the city center. Syrian security forces are conducting control activities on the roads leading to Suwayda.

CLASHES HAVE LED THE REGION INTO HUMANITARIAN CRISIS

In southern Syria, between some armed Druze groups and Bedouin Arabs, the conflict that began on July 13, which involved Syrian security forces and Israel, has led to a humanitarian crisis for civilians in the region over the course of 6 days.

During the clashes, damage to electrical lines resulted in the region being largely without electricity. Due to the lack of electricity, water pumps have become inoperable, and the people cannot use well water. Markets and bakeries that have closed due to the clashes have not yet reopened. The halt in bread production has made it impossible for the people to meet their basic food needs, and flour is also unavailable in the region. Health facilities in Suwayda are also unable to provide services due to both power outages and security issues.

CLASHES IN SUWAYDA AND ISRAELI ATTACKS

On July 13, small-scale clashes began between Bedouin Arab tribes and Druze armed groups in the Suwayda province in southern Syria. Dozens of soldiers were killed in attacks by Druze groups on the Syrian security forces deployed to the region. After the clashes between the security forces and local armed Druze groups escalated, a ceasefire was established between the parties. However, the ceasefire was quickly broken, and the Israeli army carried out attacks targeting the Syrian security forces.

On July 16, the Israeli air force struck the Syrian presidential complex, the General Staff, and the Ministry of Defense. On the same day in Suwayda, a ceasefire was re-established between the government and local groups, while Israeli fighter jets carried out attacks on Damascus and Daraa. Following the agreement, clashes reignited yesterday between the two sides as some Druze armed groups began forcibly displacing Bedouin Arabs, while the security forces did not intervene. In Suwayda, where the security forces have withdrawn, it is estimated that more than 600 people have lost their lives in the clashes and Israeli attacks.
