US President Donald Trump made a statement on his social media account regarding the Makkah Joint Defense Agreement signed by Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan. Trump stated that the agreement is an important development in terms of regional cooperation.

Expressing his pleasure at the signing of the agreement, Trump said that the step taken by Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan shows that countries in the Middle East are moving toward stronger cooperation in the field of defense.

MAKKAH JOINT DEFENSE AGREEMENT
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif signed the "Joint Defense Agreement" in Makkah on August 7.
The agreement is a defense-focused cooperation that does not target any country and aims to strengthen commitments to preserving regional and global peace, stability, and prosperity based on burden-sharing and a common security understanding.
The agreement, which aims to strengthen collective deterrence against any act of aggression, stipulates that any armed attack against any of the three states will be considered an attack against all of them.
The agreement is a defense-focused arrangement that includes the commitment of the three countries to support each other's security, as well as aiming to develop defense industry cooperation and military interoperability.
