Galatasaray announced the transfer of Mario Lemina from Wolverhampton. In a statement from the club, it was mentioned that a transfer fee of 2.5 million euros would be paid to Lemina's former club. It was also announced that Lemina would receive 1.25 million euros in the second half of this season, and 2.5 million euros for the next season and for the 2026-27 season if the option is exercised.

In a statement from the club, it was said, "An agreement has been reached regarding the transfer of professional footballer Mario Rene Junior Lemina with his club Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club. In this context, a transfer fee of 2,500,000 euros will be paid to the player's former club. A contract has been signed with the player for 1.5 plus 1 years starting from the 2024-2025 season. Accordingly, a guaranteed fee of 1,250,000 euros will be paid for the second half of the 2024-2025 season, 2,500,000 euros for the 2025-2026 season, and 2,500,000 euros for the 2026-2027 season, subject to an option."

The plane carrying Galatasaray's new signing Mario Lemina landed in Istanbul around 18:30.

Speaking at the airport, Mario Lemina said, "I said this story is not over. I am very happy to be here again. I am very excited to see our fans again. My dream was Galatasaray, and now I am here. I am very happy to have returned home."
Evaluating the transfer process, Lemina stated, "I was very excited when the first offer came. There is a special chemistry between us and Galatasaray. Especially the last 3 days felt very long because I wanted to come and play for this badge immediately. My message to the fans: They already know me. I will give my all for the club, the team, and the fans."
This season, the player has played in 19 matches for Wolverhampton, scoring 1 goal and providing 3 assists. Lemina had played 28 matches and scored 1 goal while wearing the Galatasaray jersey in the 2019-20 season.
