FOURTH ARREST
Jo, who is a father of eight children, has faced arrest for this reason before. According to police records, the Brazilian player has been detained twice in the cities of Campinas and Contagem for the same reason, and he made headlines in May 2024 when he was removed from the team bus.
DEBT REACHING 1.3 MILLION TL
It is reported that Jo's accumulated alimony debt has reached approximately 1.3 million TL since the beginning of 2024. The Brazilian press has extensively covered his fourth arrest due to failure to pay his debts.
HE WAS TAKEN TO THE POLICE STATION AND RELEASED
In May, Jo was removed from the team bus by police while traveling to an away match against Ponte Preta with Serie B team Amazonas. The player was taken to the 10th Police District in Campinas and was released after spending one night in custody and paying his alimony debt. The Brazilian forward's new arrest has once again led to him being associated more with off-field incidents than his career.
