HOW ARE FUEL PRICES DETERMINED?
According to the Petroleum Market Law, since January 1, 2005, a Free Pricing System has been applied to fuels. With this system, fuel distribution companies are free to determine the depot sales price according to different pricing policies, and dealers also apply the ceiling pump sales prices recommended to them by the distribution companies. Dealers are also free to apply their own pump sales prices according to the competitive conditions of their region. In Turkey, retail sales prices are determined considering competitive conditions.
