Ghana Reports Nearly 700 New Coronavirus Cases

No deaths reported over past day, says Ghana Health Services.

Ghana reported 692 new coronavirus cases over the past day, bringing the country's total to 24,518, local authorities said Sunday.
Ghana Health Services said in a statement that over 327,000 tests have been conducted so far to diagnose COVID-19.
A total of 129 people have died from the virus while 20,187 people have recovered.
No virus deaths were reported over the past 24 hours, the statement said.
Ghana's capital Accra along with Ashanti and the Western and Central regions have the highest number of cases.
The number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Africa now totals over 597,000 and 13,265 people have died.
