According to the information published in the Official Gazette, the first half of the 2026 additional payment for public workers will be paid on May 22, 2026, and the other half on December 18, 2026.
The payment dates for additional payments concerning millions of public workers have been announced.
TO BE PAID INTO ACCOUNTS BEFORE THE HOLIDAY
According to the Official Gazette decision published with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the first half of the additional payment will be deposited into accounts on May 22, 2026, and the other half on December 18, 2026. Thus, public workers will receive their first installment payment before Eid al-Adha.
In a statement from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, it was stated: "According to the Presidential Decree published in today's duplicate issue of the Official Gazette with the signature of our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the dates for the 2026 additional payment for workers employed in state and affiliated institutions have been determined. The first half of the additional payment will be paid before Eid al-Adha on May 22, 2026, and the second half on December 18, 2026. May it be auspicious for our workers in the public sector."
