In the Kızıltepe district of Mardin, the district chairman of the İYİ Party, Fahrettin Cevheroğlu, was detained on allegations that he and a group of about 20 people raided the home of his son-in-law, Muhammed Nakşioğlu, following a dispute with his daughter. Security camera footage captured the moments when the son-in-law was beaten, and Nakşioğlu received a medical report and filed a complaint. The suspect's procedures at the police station are ongoing.

Fahrettin Cevheroğlu, the district chairman of the İYİ Party, who is alleged to have raided the house of his son-in-law Muhammed Nakşioğlu, with whom he had a dispute, with a group of 20 people in the Kızıltepe district of Mardin, has been taken into custody.

RAIDED HIS SON-IN-LAW'S HOUSE AND HAD HIM BEATEN BY 20 PEOPLE

The incident occurred on August 13 in the Turgut Özal neighborhood in the center of Kızıltepe district. The house of Muhammed Nakşioğlu, who was having problems with his wife, was raided in the evening by a group of about 20 people, including his father-in-law, İYİ Party District Chairman Fahrettin Cevheroğlu, along with his children and relatives. After the argument, Muhammed Nakşioğlu was beaten, and those moments were captured on the house's security camera. The footage shows the group jumping over the iron gate into the house's courtyard and beating the homeowner, Muhammed Nakşioğlu.

DISTRICT CHAIRMAN IN CUSTODY

Upon the report, Muhammed Nakşioğlu, who was taken to the hospital by health teams dispatched to the scene and received a medical report of assault after his treatment, went to the police station with the security camera footage and filed a criminal complaint. Within the scope of the investigation launched regarding the incident, Fahrettin Cevheroğlu was taken into custody.

THEY JUMPED OVER THE GARDEN GATE AND ATTACKED

Describing the day of the incident, Muhammed Nakşioğlu, requesting that necessary precautions be taken, said, "My wife's father, Fahrettin Cevheroğlu's statements, such as 'We will beat him, leave him, let us reach him, let us get our hands on him,' are also present in the camera recordings. He uttered severe curses against me and my family loudly. Then they jumped over the garden gate and started attacking me."

"PRECAUTIONS SHOULD BE TAKEN BEFORE ANYTHING HAPPENS TO ME"

Stating that he was taken to the hospital by ambulance after the attack, Nakşioğlu said, "My medical report states that my injuries are of a nature that cannot be resolved with simple medical intervention. There is a cut on my t-shirt and a wound on my abdominal area, which is also present in the medical report. I want the necessary precautions to be taken before anything happens to me, not after."
